Bruce Hatton, principal consultant and director, has worked in the arboricultural industry since 1987, initially hands-on with his contracting business Treemenders, and as a consultant from 1997.
He is a Fellow of the Arboricultural Association & Professional Member and Chartered Arboriculturalist with the Institute of Chartered Foresters.
Qualifications include:
The Technical Certificate in Arboriculture (1996) and the Professional Diploma in Arboriculture (1997).
Achieved the advanced level of technical competence of a VTA Practitioner with Elite Training, awarded by Claus Mattheck.
Undergone full training and is a licence holder of the Association of Mortgage Users and Insurance Group Subsidence Risk Assessment module, now regulated by CAS (Consulting Arborists Society).
National Chairman of the Arboricultural Association during 2002-2003 and prior to that Chairman of the Association’s Professional Committee.
Former Assessor for the Association’s Approved Contractor scheme and also served as the industry’s representative on the AFAG panel responsible for the production of industry best practice guides.
Expert Witness, experienced in planning appeals and representing Local Authorities in their prosecution of those who breach legislation.
Qualified to undertake thorough examinations of equipment under the LOLER regulations.
Holder of IOSH Managing Safely and NEBOSH National General Certificate In Occupational Health & Safety qualifications, accredited by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
